Sandew Hira has presented the first copy of his new book “De getuigenis van president Desi Bouterse” to President Bouterse. The  Surinamese president has spoken to the Surinamese media about the book and the initiative Sandew Hira has taken to establish a path towards truth and reconciliation and says: “Let me thank you for your contribution as a Surinamese to this issue, which has been playing for years and has often been kept warm by individuals, organizations that actually do not find a solution… I am very pleased with the way you have taken the initiative.”
